Chapter Seventeen

Noah

White hot jealously burned through him as Noah looked at how familiar this Hollywood douche was with his Charlie. His temper flared, making him take a step closer to the idiot who kissed Charlie so openly, even as she denied him.

"What are you doing here JJ?"

To anyone else, Charlie's tone was the epitome of polite, but Noah heard the undercurrents of annoyance laced in with her forced curtesy. It was the only thing that sated Noah's intense fury even as Luke grabbed his arm.

"Dude, you go and punch him," Luke hissed in a low tone. "And you blow any progress you made with the forest in her office. Dial it back."

Luke's words paused his need for violence for all of one minute and then the actor said., "Hello sweetheart, have you missed me?"

Charlotte glanced over her shoulder at Noah, her eyes wide before she turned away from him and motioned with her arm. "Let's go to my office and we can catch up."

Charlotte was already heading up the stairs before the actor could answer, as he waved to some more adoring fans before following after her. When Noah saw his gaze drop to her curved ass, he nearly stroked out.

"Okay, Rocky, let's take the rest of the day off and away from actors who have no sense of danger or self-preservation."

Noah let himself be led away by Luke, Quinn shaking her head as they went down to the gym to shower, as Luke asked him if he would come to his family pub when he worked a shift. Noah and Luke might make serious money, but Luke and Luna's parents made sure they remained grounded.

Getting blind ass drunk seemed like a real good idea right now and even Quinn said she would come along to keep them company. Noah was in no mood to drive, knowing he'd likely get pulled over and arrested if he went off in a car in the mood he was in.

No one had stopped them when they cut and run from their schedule as it was near to the end of the year and normally people were starting to finish up, planning to get Christmas presents and having parties. This year though, they had had their annual party in October, because everyone knew that Philip Coyle, a generous man who gave his employees as much as he could especially during the holiday season, wouldn't see the coming Christmas.

The factory had held it earlier, so Philip could attend, the joy on his surrogate father's face as wide as the one he had shown Noah on the first-ever Christmas he had shared with the Coyle's and the first proper present he had gotten in his life.

"Noah, Noah!"

Noah stirred in his bed, groaning as he saw the clock had barely turned four in the morning as Charlie shook him, leaning over him in the bed to try and get his attention. When he had the ability to think, Noah sat up straight in the bed, pulling the duvet over his naked body as Charlie grinned down at him.
